The most gifted communicators, I believe to my own chagrin, are those who can say the most in the least amount of words or space.

David Hayword is a gifted communicator.

David is “an artist trapped inside a pastor’s body.”  So says his intro at the nakedpastor  blog.

Pastor of a Vinyard Church in Rothesay, New Brunswick, Canada, David is wonderfully insightful, creative and thoughtful.  His written work is thought-provoking at times, deeply heartfelt at times, and always so alive and aware of the two worlds he lives in.

But my favorite stuff David does is, without a doubt, his cartoons.  Sometimes bitingly prophetic, other times just hysterically funny, I absolutely love the way he penetrates the heart with such power and simplicity through his art and captions.  Here he pokes at those who would make money off the cross of Christ.  Here he captures the tension of “how close is close enough/too close” for those in ministry.
