<description>Well, My answer come by way of a "People of the first fruits" deal. I have for some time now felt that we needed to be tithing. We have always live on exactly what we made each month, give or take a little of a lot. My wife being the sensible, bill paying, smart person said there was no way that we could afford it. I had to agree because logically there was no way.

Well we started going to a new church recently (you can probably guess which one). Not long after we started going they started this First Fruits Weirdo Thingy. :-)

We started giving and trying to make it work out every week but it just never did.

We were told one Sunday to take inventory. My wife did just that.

We had started taking our daughter to Mimi's house on Friday nights and that was our date night. Even though I did not know it, this Friday was not going to be a good night. The inventory revealed that we would be doing without several things that I really liked (like food).

If you took how much we needed to be paying in tithe for the time the First Fruits deal was going on, it would equal $1650. If we were going to pay tithe on our handy dandy economic stimulus it would be $150 for a total of $1800.

When we got to Mimi's houses they told us that God had been telling them that they needed to pay one of our house payments. After they picked Pam and me up off of the floor, we realized that the amount they were going to give us, with out us telling them about the previous amounts, was $1800 exactly.

We have not missed paying since and will vow to continue.

That is a prayer answered.
 1. That we would start paying tithe
 2. That we could afford it and not have to go without food
       like I ever have :-)

Thanks
